Last Day in Greece

Today was our last full day in Greece, and the last day in Rhodes. When we woke up it was pouring rain, a common theme on our trip. From watching Mamma Mia, I felt like Greece was in perpetual summer, but that is a complete lie because this last day was freezing.

We went to a castle facing on the sea that had been built around an ancient Greek city, but as soon as we pulled up, it started storming. We decided to come back when the weather was better, so we went to the village of Apolakia for lunch. After a long twisty mountain road through an olive grove, we reached the traditional village. We had a conversation with a family that lived there, and they took us to their favorite restaurant. It was amazing to meet people who lived in the small little village, and the food was incredible!

After, we went back to the castle, and walked around the city. It was abandoned for the winter, but we met a cat that followed us around the castle. It was so magical!
