The Adventure Begins...

It's December 31st, and Matt and I are beginning our journey to Greece. Yesterday, we flew five hours from Honolulu to Los Angeles, spending the night in LA.

Last night, we went to our favorite restaurant in Manhattan Beach, Manhattan Beach Post. They have the most AMAZING cheddar biscuits, and all their food is truly innovative. The whole restaurant is family style, not just in the way everyone shares dishes, but in the seating. Everyone shares tables, which allows restaurant goers to have conversations with the strangers they are sitting next to.

We also explored the pier, and saw people surfing in 40 degree weather. It made me grateful for the weather and waves in Hawaii!

Overall, it was nice to stay in LA and explore the city, even if it was just for a night. We got some much needed sleep before our 11 hour flight to Amsterdam, 7 hour layover, and 4 hour flight to Athens. It's going to be an exhausting day, but will be worth it!
