Today was our last day in Athens, and we explored the city one last time before flying to Santorini. We woke up early to hike the Hill of the Muses, dedicated the the goddesses representing the arts. On top of the hill was ruins from a building used to store gunpowder, which exploded in the Turkish invasion of the city. The hill is also holds mythological value, as it was the place where the Athenians battled the Amazons, a mythical tribe of women. There also was a stunning view of the Acropolis, as well as a view of the snow-capped mountains.

After our adventure, we headed to the airport, and flew to Santorini. It was a very short flight, and the rest of the day was spent figuring out where we were going. Stay tuned for Santorini tomorrow!
